PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Dora E. Hudson, 91, of Perryville died Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2004, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.
She was born Dec. 2, 1912, in Perry County, daughter of Theodore and Alice French Geile. She and J. Chalmer Hudson were married April 12, 1936. He died Nov. 25, 1986.
Hudson had been a cementer at a shoe factory. She was a member of American Legion Boosters, VFW Auxiliary, Order of Eastern Star, AmVets Auxiliary, and Perry County Eagles.
Survivors include a son, Larry Hudson of Silver Lake, Mo.; three daughters, Juanita Vernon of Brewer, Mo., Edna Green and JoAnn Lane of Perryville; two brothers, Howard Geile of Perryville, Glennon Geile of Silver Lake; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, a grandson, a great-grandson, two brothers, and a sister.
Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4 to 9 p.m. today, and after 6:30 a.m. Saturday. The AmVets wake will be at 7 tonight, followed by VFW Auxiliary wake at 7:15, and Order of Eastern Star wake at 7:30.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Kevin Fausz officiating. Burial will be in Home Cemetery.
