Donnie Gerald Ford Jr., 54, of Scott City died Sunday, Sept. 7, 2008, at Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, Mo.
He was born Dec. 7, 1953, at Sikeston, Mo., son of Donnie Gerald and Lorraine Lewis Ford Sr.
Ford was a sheet metal worker and carpenter with Commercial Heating and Cooling.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era.
Survivors include his mother, Lorraine Grimes of Sikeston; two brothers, Herman Grimes Jr. of Olive Branch, Miss., Mark Grimes of Sikeston; three sisters, Markey Ford of Little Rock, Ark., Cindy McClellan of Scott City, Sarah Thompson of Grand Junction, Colo.
He was preceded in death by his father and a daughter.
There is no visitation.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Dogwood Cemetery, with the Rev. Dwayne Coleman officiating.
Blanchard Funeral Home in Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
