GREENVILLE -- Donna Sue Schanks, 54, of Greenville, died Sunday, Jan. 1, 1995, at Deaconess Hospital in St. Louis. She was born Nov. 2, 1940, at Zalma, daughter of Charles and Mary Pauline Hefner Schanks. Schanks worked at Owens-Brockway Corp. in St. Louis 33 years, and was head shipping clerk when she retired. She was a member of Glassblowers Association and was union president several years. She was also a member of Order of Eastern Star Chapter 509 at Zalma...

GREENVILLE -- Donna Sue Schanks, 54, of Greenville, died Sunday, Jan. 1, 1995, at Deaconess Hospital in St. Louis.

She was born Nov. 2, 1940, at Zalma, daughter of Charles and Mary Pauline Hefner Schanks.

Schanks worked at Owens-Brockway Corp. in St. Louis 33 years, and was head shipping clerk when she retired. She was a member of Glassblowers Association and was union president several years. She was also a member of Order of Eastern Star Chapter 509 at Zalma.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary Capehart of St. Louis; a brother, Billy Schanks of St. Charles; three sisters, Marjean Foelsch of St. Ann, Ruth Meador of Gipsy, Maxine Deckard of Lowndes, and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.

Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance from 4:30-8 p.m. today. Eastern Star service will be at 7.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gene Robbins officiating. Burial will be in Cowan Cemetery near Lowndes.
