THEBES, Ill. -- Donna McNelly, 82, of Thebes passed away Saturday, Nov. 7, 2020, at home with her family by her side.
She was born Aug. 19, 1938, in Stamford, Nebraska, the daughter of Dallas and Lila Bell Fletcher. She was married on Feb. 13, 1957, to Harold McNelly.
Donna was a longtime secretary for Egyptian School, was a member of First Baptist Church in Thebes and the Thebes Historical Society. She loved Jesus, her family, country music and traveling.
Survivors are her husband of 64 years, Harold McNelly; daughter, Debra (Tim) Goins; grandchildren, Derek McNelly, Jessica (Josh) Bigham, Austin Goins and Cody (Jessica) Goins; great-grandchildren, Juliana, Devon and Daelan McNelly, Jayleah, Jacelynn and Jentry Bigham, Emberlie, Adalai and Graham Goins; and sister, Sharon Fletcher.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Larry McNelly; granddaughter, Krista Goins; great-grandchildren, Aven Goins and Chastity Gathright; and two sisters, Nona Wright and Doris Soli.
Visitation for Donna McNelly will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms, Illinois.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Raymond McAfee officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery at Thebes.
