OLIVE BRANCH, Ill. -- Donna Kay McKee, 57, of Olive Branch died Thursday, Dec. 20, 2001, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born April 15, 1944, in Cairo, Ill., daughter of the late Harvey and Frida Willis Dowdy.
A housewife and homemaker, Dowdy was a member of the Alexander Free Will Baptist Church near Olive Branch and she served more than 20 years as church pianist and organist and 17 years as church secretary.
On Feb. 16, 1963, in Unity, Ill., she was married to Jerry D. McKee.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Lisa Quesenberry and Misty Holder of Olive Branch; a son, Scott McKee of Olive Branch; two brothers, Lloyd Dowdy of Humbolt, Tenn., Marvin Dowdy of Olive Branch; two sisters, Colleen Shaw of Jerseyville, Ill., Janice Stevens of Deer Park, Texas; and five grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers and a grandson.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Saturday at the Alexander Free Will Baptist Church and after 8 a.m. Sunday at the church.
The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the church, with the Rev. Ernest Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Olive Branch cemetery.
