FESTUS, Mo. -- Donna Faye Niswonger McClain, 78, of Festus died Sunday, Nov. 21, 2021 at Mercy Hospital Jefferson.
She was born Oct. 27, 1943, in Cape Girardeau to James "Woody" Woodrow and Mary Belle Ford Niswonger. She married Roger McClain. He preceded her in death.
Donna was a graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School. She had worked for Farmers & Merchants Bank and Boatmen's Bank in Cape Girardeau. She later worked in the Kansas City, Missouri, school system.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Cape Girardeau.
Donna enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandkids.
Survivors include two daughters, Robin Drum of Cape Girardeau and Julie (Kevin) Upchurch of Jackson; sister, Nancy (Bob) Gerecke of Blue Springs, Missouri; six grandchildren, Jessica Sheppard, Britni Olejarczyk, Sarah Winston, Kellsi Upchurch, Maci Upchurch and David Drum; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and granddaughter, Ashli Ayers.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
Funeral service will follow at noon at the funeral home with the Rev. Kenneth Trentham officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
