PUXICO, Mo. -- Funeral for Donna Bruce of Desloge, Mo., will be held at 2 p.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico. The Rev. Pat Myers will officiate. Burial will be in Puxico Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 11 a.m.

Bruce, 83, died Sunday, Nov. 19, 2000, at National Health Care in Desloge.

She was born Sept. 13, 1917, in Tennessee, daughter of James Cleveland and Katherine Ashworth Ellison. She and Lloyd Bruce were married Feb. 1, 1934, in Blytheville, Ark. He died Nov. 9, 1980.

Formerly of the Puxico and Wappapello, Mo., areas, she was a member of the Methodist Church in Wappapello.

Survivors include a daughter, Linda Batterton of Desloge; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by five brothers.
