ADVANCE, Mo. -- Donel W. Fowler, 84, of Advance died Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born April 11, 1916, near Advance, son of George Washington and Bertie Pohlman Fowler. He and Dorothy Louise Lockhart were married Sept. 13, 1940.
Fowler was a graduate of Advance High School. He had worked in construction and steam fitting industries across the United States. He was a founder of Calvary Cornerstone Church, and past master of Advance Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Donna Fowler of Pinson, Ala., Sandra Rhodes of Bloomfield, Mo.; three sisters, Jewell Umfleet and Mildred Harnes of Advance, Dorothy Jones of Casa Grande, Ariz.; two brothers, Robert and Ralph Fowler of Advance; and three grandchildren.
Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Calvary Church. The Rev. John Tolbert will officiate.
Morgan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
