Donavon Delores Snider, 71, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, April 3, 2005, at the Lutheran Home. She was born Sept. 11, 1933, in Sturgess, S.D., daughter of Earl and Clarrissa Ness Collins. Snider worked as an LPN in area nursing homes. She was also the owner and operator of a porcelain doll hospital. She attended Commerce Baptist Church in Commerce, Mo. Donavon Delores Snider, 71, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, April 3, 2005, at the Lutheran Home.

She was born Sept. 11, 1933, in Sturgess, S.D., daughter of Earl and Clarrissa Ness Collins.

Snider worked as an LPN in area nursing homes. She was also the owner and operator of a porcelain doll hospital. She attended Commerce Baptist Church in Commerce, Mo. She was a graduate of Central High School in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include three daughters, Paula Tripp and Glenda Henry of Cape Girardeau, Sharon McClard of Jackson; a brother, Richard Collins, of Scott City; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, a daughter and a sister.

Friends may call from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. David Thompson officiating.
