PAINTON, Mo. -- Donald Ray Wondel Sr., 63, of Painton died Thursday, May 5, 2005, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born June 29, 1941, at Painton, son of Emory and Elizabeth Surface Wondel. He and Marvenia King were married Feb. 24, 1968, in Bell City, Mo.
Wondel owned and operated Wondel Farms with his sons. He attended Arbor General Baptist Church.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Donald Wondel Jr. of Painton, Christopher Wondel of Advance, Mo.; three brothers, Emory Wondel of Wright City, Mo., Walter Wondel of Warrenton, Mo., Ronald Wondel of O'Fallon, Mo.; two sisters, Betty McKee of Bell City, Evelyn Italiano of St. Charles, Mo.; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by an infant brother.
Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Kermit Patton officiating. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park.
