Donald Presnell Wheeler, 85, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
He was born Sept. 21, 1928, in Miner, Mo., to Jesse Monroe and Bertha Mildred Hutson Wheeler. He and Jeane Lou Manning were married in 1952. She preceded him in death in 1987.
Donald was co-owner of Cape Janitorial Supply.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include a son, Scott Wheeler of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Monroe Wheeler of Hamilton, Ala., and Benny Wheeler of Scott City; and a sister, Norma Foy of Cape Girardeau.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Shelly O'Howell.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Lightner Memorial Cemetery in Scott City, with the Rev. Charles Lance officiating.
