TAMMS, Ill. -- Donald Vick, 69, of Tamms died Saturday, Dec. 9, 2000, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Granite City, Ill. He was born Sept. 5, 1931, in Chicago, son of John and Jeanette Huffman Vick. He and Bobbie Lea Meisenheimer were married July 24, 1952. She died March 3, 2000...

TAMMS, Ill. -- Donald Vick, 69, of Tamms died Saturday, Dec. 9, 2000, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Granite City, Ill.

He was born Sept. 5, 1931, in Chicago, son of John and Jeanette Huffman Vick. He and Bobbie Lea Meisenheimer were married July 24, 1952. She died March 3, 2000.

Vick was retired from GM&O and ICG railroads. After retirement, he remained an avid rail fan.

Survivors include two daughters, Kim Barker of Belleville, Ill., and Michele Henderson of Sarasota, Fla.; two grandchildren; and a brother, Bob Vick of Dongola, Ill.

Friends may call after 11 a.m. Tuesday at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Larry Buckles will officiate, with burial in St. John's Cemetery.
