SIKESTON, Mo. -- Donald Taylor, 71, of Sikeston died Friday, Aug. 3, 2007, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
He was born June 18, 1936, in Reyno, Ark., son of Dempse and Lillie Ruth King Taylor. He married Norma Gordon.
Taylor retired from Chambers Electric.
He served in the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include his wife; his mother of Sikeston; two daughters, Rhonda Harkness of Des Arc, Mo., Karen Usmani of Houston; a stepson, Kenneth Thomason of Avert, Mo.; and a stepdaughter, Tonya Bailey of Dexter, Mo.; five sisters, Ruthine Modglin and Betty Taylor of Sikeston, Lequita Morris of Norman, Ark., Charlotte Drury and Bunny Keesee of Cape Girar­deau; two brothers, Glen Taylor of St. Louis, Billy Taylor of Gulfport, Miss.; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to service time today at Ponder Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo., with full military honors.
