Donald W. Stout, 79, of Bay City, Mich., passed away Monday, Dec. 17, 2012.
He was born Dec. 29, 1932, to Willard M. and Edna Roark Stout of Cape Girardeau. He and Joan L. Olson were married Aug. 18, 1957, at Eisleben Lutheran Church.
Donald attended Central High School, Southeast Missouri State University and the University of Missouri-Columbia. He worked for the Michigan Department of Agriculture, retiring in 1997.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Douglas W. (Cathy) Stout of Milton, Vt., and Darren (Tammy) Stout of Moore, Okla.; four grandchildren, Nicholas, Virginia, Joshua and Jared; a sister, Elizabeth Pope of Avondale, Ariz.; a brother-in-law and three sisters-in-law, Lee and Mary Olson, Rebecca Olson and Marjorie Stout; 12 nieces and nephews; and numerous cousins.
Besides his parents, Donald was preceded by his twin brother, Daniel M. Stout (2001), and a brother-in-law, Gene Olson (2005).
Per Donald's request, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
Gephart Funeral Home in Bay City was in charge of arrangements.
