SEDGEWICKVILLE -- Donald A. Shade, 78, of Sedgewickville died Monday, May 15, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born May 20, 1921, at Norfolk, Neb., son of Floyd A. and Hettyn E. Jackson Shade. He and Jeanne L. Gibbons were married Feb. 7, 1949. She died May 21, 1991...

SEDGEWICKVILLE -- Donald A. Shade, 78, of Sedgewickville died Monday, May 15, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born May 20, 1921, at Norfolk, Neb., son of Floyd A. and Hettyn E. Jackson Shade. He and Jeanne L. Gibbons were married Feb. 7, 1949. She died May 21, 1991.

Shade retired as manager of a tool and die manufacturing company. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and was a member of Hump Pilots Association.

Survivors include a daughter, Victoria Shade of Sedgewickville; and a brother, Robert Shade of Norfolk.

There is no visitation.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill is in charge of arrangements.
