Donald Eugene "Don" Schmittzehe, 82, of Town and Country, Mo., was baptized into the hope of Christ's resurrection Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Wanda Allene Below Schmittzehe; he is the father of David Michael "Mike" Schmittzehe, Susan Kay Schmittzehe Wilcox Boudinet (David Boudinet), the late Donald Joseph Schmittzehe; proud grandfather of Hilary Marshall Wilcox and Marshall Werner Wilcox...

Donald Eugene "Don" Schmittzehe, 82, of Town and Country, Mo., was baptized into the hope of Christ's resurrection Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Wanda Allene Below Schmittzehe; he is the father of David Michael "Mike" Schmittzehe, Susan Kay Schmittzehe Wilcox Boudinet (David Boudinet), the late Donald Joseph Schmittzehe; proud grandfather of Hilary Marshall Wilcox and Marshall Werner Wilcox.

Donald is the son of Hilarious "Hilary" Andrew Schmittzehe and Philomenia "Minnie" Barbara Jarosik Schmittzehe. He is also survived by siblings Hilary Francis Schmittzehe, Anna Marie Schmittzehe Buelow (Marlin Steven), Mary Katherine Schmittzehe Orf, Dorothy Jane Schmittzehe Low (Alvin Warren Low) and Jerome Anthony Schmittzehe (Barbara Jean Kirn).

Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Anselm Catholic Church in Creve Coeur, Mo. The family will receive guests at St. Anselm's Parish House following Mass. Interment will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum.

The family will host a reception for family and friends from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday at Drury Lodge in Cape Girardeau.

Schrader Funeral Home in Ballwin, Mo., is in charge of arrangements.

If desired, contributions may be made in Don's name to the St. Louis Chapter of Alzheimer's Association.
