JONESBORO, Ill. -- Donald E. Schlenker Jr. of Jonesboro died Thursday, Jan. 6, 2000, at the Union County Hospital in Anna. He was 42.

He was born Feb. 6, 1957, at Anna, son of Donald and Patricia McMahan Schlenker Sr. He was married to Pamela M. Lackey on April 11, 1981, at Jonesboro.

He was a member of First Baptist Church in Jonesboro, the A-J Band Boosters, and was a self-employed mechanic.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Kimberly Schlenker of Jonesboro; his parents, of Jonesboro; a brother, Jeffrey Schlenker of Anna; and a grandmother, Cecile Schlenker of Anna.

Funeral will begin at 2 p.m. today at the Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home at Anna, with the Rev. Joe Aldridge officiating. Interment will be in Jonesboro Cemetery.
