Donald Roberts

Donald R. Roberts, 88, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Oct. 22, 2020, at his home.

He was born Oct. 7, 1932, in Cape Girardeau to Ray and Iva Nothdurft Roberts.

He and Marjorie H. Nance were married July 9, 1955, in Cape Girardeau. She preceded him in death March 16, 2011.

Don served in the Army during the Korean conflict.

He was a captain with Cape Girardeau Police Department.

He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.

Don is survived by a son, David Roberts of Cape Girardeau.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Gary Roberts; brother, Lloyd (Wanda) Roberts; and two sisters, Wilda (Raymond) Ruebel and Kathleen "Katie" (Charlie) Crawford.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Frank Burgess officiating.

Burial with full military rites by the Missouri Honors Team will follow at Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
