Donald Ray, 64, of Dexter, Mo., died Sunday, July 31, 2005, at Missouri Southern Healthcare Facility in Dexter.
He was born April 29, 1941, in Manila, Ark., son of James Henry and Violet Cook Ray. He and Dorthey JoAnn Baker were married Sept. 14, 1962, at Poplar Bluff, Mo.
Ray lived in Cape Girardeau 30 years, and retired from Sam's Club. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Cape Girardeau.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Kenneth Ray of Dexter; three daughters, Teresa Cook, Malinda Hill and Donni Clubb of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Roger Ray of Dexter, Glenn Billings of McRae, Ark.; three sisters, Geneva Seeds of Oxford, Mich., Brenda Presson of Rector, Ark., Dean Anderson of Black Oak, Ark.; and six grandchildren.
Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter from 4 to 8 p.m. today. A Masonic service will be held at 7.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with Cletus Patterson officiating. Burial will be in Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield, Mo., with full military honors.
