CHAFFEE, Mo. — Donald LeRoy Mier of Chaffee, son of Stephen Mier of Jackson and Patricia Barberis of Chaffee, was born April 20, 1972, in Cape Girardeau and departed this life Friday, April 24, 2020, in Benton, Missouri, at the age of 48 years.
Donald previously owned and operated Busy Bee Construction and Roofing. He had also worked as a manager for Dana Corp. in Cape Girardeau before it closed. He had two inventions and was granted two major patents by the United States government with one in production before he became ill.
Besides his parents, survivors include a daughter, Loren McCurley of Tennessee; sister, Stephanie Simpson of Chaffee; and also by other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at a later date conducted by Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.
