BLOOMFIELD -- Donald Messer, 69, of Bloomfield, died Friday Oct. 29, 1993 at the John Cochran V.A. Hospital in St. Louis. He was born Aug. 5, 1924 in Brloomfield, the son of Basil and Edith Osborn Messer.
He spent his entire life in Bloomfield, except for the last three years when he lived at Advance. He was a retired carpenter and served in the Army during World War II.
On Aug. 24, 1988 he married Shriley Curneal, who survives. Also surviving are: one daughter, Donna Hinkle of Advance; and one step-grandson.
He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Rev. Edsel Pruett of Bloomfield, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Gravel Hill Cemetery near Bloomfield
