PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Donald E. "Duck" Merrill, 69, of Perryville died Thursday, March 31, 2011, at his home.
He was born June 18, 1941, at Warrenton, Mo., son of Eugene and Kathryn Nagle Merrill. He and Martha M. Kirn were married May 29, 1982, in Perryville.
Donald was a retired truck driver. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Teamsters Local 600 Retiree Club, and Perry County Democrat Club.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Merrill of Perryville; two sons, Donald and Tony Merrill of St. Louis; a daughter, Marie Muhlky of St. Louis; two brothers, Harry Merrill of Foley, Mo., Daniel Merrill of Overland, Mo.; three sisters, Hazel Walls of Wright City, Mo., Emma Shramek of Hawk Point, Mo., Mary Vohsen of St. Peters, Mo.; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Eugene and James.
Visitation will be Sunday from 5 to 9 p.m., and Monday from 6:30 to 9:50 a.m. at Miller Family Funeral Home. Parish prayers will be at 7 Sunday.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Vincent de Paul Church in Perryville, with the Rev. Milton Ryan officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
