SIKESTON -- Donald K. Lumsden, 76, of Sikeston, died Wednesday, June 26, 1996, at his home.
He was born Feb. 18, 1920, in Canalou, son of Charles C. and Ora B. Willmurth Lumsden. He and Calista Newcomb were married in 1946.
Lumsden received a degree in agriculture from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
He was employed by Missouri Seed Improvement Association 25 years. He was a member of First Christian Church, and served an an elder and Sunday School teacher.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Donald Lumsden of Sikeston; a daughter, Bonnie Lumsden of St. Louis; three brothers, Nelson Lumsden of Canalou, Harold Lumsden of Essex, John Lumsden of Sikeston, and two grandchildren.
Friends may call at Ponder Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Christian Church, with the Rev. Ed Pangburn officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
