ADVANCE, Mo. -- Donald James, 73, of Advance passed away Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2018, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
Donald was born Dec. 22, 1944, at Advance, the son of Virgil and Flossie Morlan Loughary.
Don began working at the Lutesville Pallet Co., and moved on to working for Shell Feed and Supply in Lutesville, Missouri. He then worked for Semo Dairy in Jackson. He later began hauling cattle for McClain Trucking, traveling all over the country. He was an over-the-road truck driver for 34 years.
Don and Lesa Lewis were united in marriage March 16, 1993, and she survives of the home.
Other survivors include two daughters, Jennifer (Michael) Jones of Advance and Krystal (Brandon) Allen of Dexter, Missouri; a son, Rodney (Betsy) James of Prattville, Alabama; grandchildren, Dalton (Shelby) James, Austin James and Sawyer and Tucker Allen; great-grandchild, Archer James; two sisters; six brothers; and many nieces and nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and two brothers.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
