Donald Joe Brooks, 24, 1826 Meyer, died Thursday, June 6, 1991, in a motorcycle accident at Perryville and Sherwood in Cape Girardeau.
He was born May 6, 1967, in Cape Girardeau, son of Joe and Mary Held Brooks. He and the former Karen McCulley were married Dec. 19, 1983.
Brooks was a 1985 graduate of Scott City High School, and was a millwright with Craftsman Local in Cape Girardeau. He was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church in Scott City, and member of Bootheel Bowhunters Club.
Survivors include two sons, Donald II and Kristopher Brooks of Scott City; his father of Farmington; his mother and stepfather, Mary and Mark Rogers of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Connie Brooks of Cape Girardeau, Debbie Johnston of Scott City, and maternal grandmother, Anna Pyle of Scott City.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. The Rev. Frank Giunta will officiate, with burial in Lightner Memorial Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. today.
