Donald Ray Ivy, 68, of Jackson lost his battle to cancer but gained the ultimate victory Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Nov. 5, 1946, in Meridian, Mississippi, to Benjamin L. and Ethel Long Ivy. He and Vicki Clark were married Aug. 16, 1991, in Waynesboro, Mississippi.

Donald attended Cape County Cowboy Church. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, praising the Lord and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Vicki Ivy of Jackson; two sons, Kevin T. (Tonya) Ivy of Jackson, Mississippi, and Derek R. (Jennifer) Ivy of Jackson, Missouri; three daughters, Sandy R. (Wayne) Walley and Tracy M. (Hootie) Bonner of Jackson, Missouri, and Allison B. (Clay) Reynolds of Hickory, Kentucky; a brother, James B. (Yvonne) Ivy of Quitman, Mississippi; six grandchildren, Kristen L. (Jerrick) Myers, Jodi K. Walley, Kacie A. Walley, Christopher R. Bonner, Kameron Chase Bonner and Madison L. Ivy; and a great-grandson, Tucker Myers, who is due in July.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Roy "Earl," Robert W. and Richard W. Ivy.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Kevin Mann and Terry Ivy officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
