Donald Honey

THEBES, Ill. -- Donald "Duck" Honey, 68, of Thebes died at 8:15 a.m. Friday, April 22, 2016, in Life Care Center of Cape Girardeau.

Donald was born May 27, 1947, in Diswood, Illinois, the son of Lorn "Pod" and Mary Quinn Honey.

He was retired from General Sign in Cape Girardeau. He enjoyed drag racing, car shows and working on old cars.

Donald is survived by his son, Michael (Monica) Honey of Tamms, Illinois; a brother, Lorn "Little Pod" (Mei Yu) Honey of Paducah, Kentucky; a sister-in-law, Jeanetta Honey of Tamms; and two nephews, David and Ryan Honey.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Stephen Honey.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the Crain Funeral Home in Tamms.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Beverly Northcutt officiating. Interment will be in McCrite Cemetery.
