Donald Boyd “Don” Gregory was born Sunday, May 14, 1933, in Malden to Arthur and Morene Kizer Gregory. He departed this life Monday, Feb. 26, 2024, at his home in Malden at the age of 90 years, 7 months and 12 days.

Don served his country in the U.S. Army. He earned a degree in civil engineering from Missouri School of Mines and Metallurgy in Rolla, and was a member of Society of Professional Engineers. He retired in 2000 from Gregory Construction Inc. Don was also one of 11 original directors of First National Bank of Malden. He was a member of First Christian Church in Malden.

On Dec. 22, 1951, he was united in marriage to Colleen Nettleton in Matthews. She survives.

Other survivors include two sons, Alan Gregory of Jackson and Mark Gregory of Malden; five grandchildren, Matt Gregory and wife, Kandra, Jesse Gregory and wife, Sammi, Seth Gregory, Justin Gregory and wife, Victoria, and Travis Gregory; five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Margarett Palus of Perryville.

Don was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Jordan Gregory; daughter-in-law, Deborah Gregory; and two sisters, Mary Sims and Barbara Hayes.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday, Feb. 28, at Landess Funeral Home in Malden.

Funeral will follow at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28, at the funeral home, with Pastor Randy Moore officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden.

The family wishes to thank Crown Hospice and Heather, Bes and Louise for their loving care.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Barnes-Jewish Hospital Liver Transplant Center, care of Dr. Jeffrey S. Crippin.
