MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Donald B. Frymire, 87, of Marble Hill passed away Friday, Feb. 3, 2012, at Woodland Hills in Marble Hill.

MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Donald B. Frymire, 87, of Marble Hill passed away Friday, Feb. 3, 2012, at Woodland Hills in Marble Hill.

He was born March 10, 1925, at Grassy, Mo., son of Noah and Diania Williams Frymire. He and Betty Lee Robbins were united in marriage Dec. 14, 1945.

Donald served his country proudly in the U.S. Army. He was wounded in France during World War II and earned a Purple Heart.

He retired from Olan Corp. in the Alton, Ill., area. He was a member of Grassy Friendship General Baptist Church and VFW Post 5900.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Frymire of Marble Hill; four sons, Donnie Gayle Frymire of Fredericktown, Mo., Danny Eugene Frymire and Clifford Wayne Frymire of Marble Hill, Larry Noah Frymire of Fredericktown; a daughter, Ellen (Krickett) Boyer of Bunker Hill, Ill.; nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Donald Jr.; a daughter, Wanda May; five brothers, Raymond, Albert, Dempsey, Troy and Kelly; three sisters, Gertie Myers, Arlie Myers and Ora Stoner.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Loyd Ray Green and the Rev. Bob Robbins officiating. Burial will be in Grassy Friendship Cemetery, with full military rites by Missouri Honors Team.
