CAIRO, Ill. -- Donald E. Cange, 74, of Cairo died Friday Sept. 19, 2008, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. CAIRO, Ill. -- Donald E. Cange, 74, of Cairo died Friday Sept. 19, 2008, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Jan. 28, 1934, in Cairo, son of Adam and Hortense Diepenbrock Cange. He married Shirley Jean Baugher.

Cange was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Cairo. He retired as a salesman with Prairie Farms Co.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Tammy Cange of Cairo; a son, David Cange of Norris City, Ill.; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo.

A graveside service will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Green Lawn Memorial Gardens in Villa Ridge, Ill., with the Rev. Bernadine Nganzi officiating.
