CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Donald C. Jenkins, 56 years old, of Farmersville, Calif., formerly of Cape Girardeau, died Monday, Dec. 24, 1990, at a Visalia, Calif., hospital.
He was born March 7, 1934, in Cape Girardeau, son of Harry and Mary Drum Jenkins.
His wife, Shirley Fulton, formerly of Cape Girardeau, whom he married here, survives.
Jenkins graduated from Central High School in 1952, and was active in the music department there. He moved from Cape Girardeau to Farmersville in 1969, and recently retired from Western Electric after 35 years of service.
In addition to his wife, survivors are a son, Donald Jenkins Jr., Chatsworth, Calif.; daughters, Julie Salazar, Visalia, Diana Sellers, Tustin, Calif., and Stacia Jenkins, Farmersville; a brother, Harry Jenkins, Albuquerque, N.M.; sisters, Della Hope Latimer, Springfield, Mo., Doris Fuller, Concord, Calif., Mildred Hoffman, Richmond, Va., Betty Lou Summers, Fairmont, W.Va., and Jewel Ryan, Cape Girardeau; and eight grandchildren;
A private service was held in Visalia, with burial there.
