Donald Howard Bitte, 62, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Aug. 8, 2016, at his home. He was born Oct. 19, 1953, in Chicago to Howard Henry and Geraldine Hansford Bitte. He worked in the aerospace industry for the U.S. government in Denver. He is survived by his mother, Geraldine Hansford of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Danielle Castaneda of Westminster, Colorado; and eight cousins, Carol Piland of Johnston City, Illinois, Cindy Hansford Smith of Carterville, Illinois, Billie Anne Hansford George of Paris, Illinois, Ben Hansford of Johnston City, Selah Moore of Perryville, Missouri, Keith Moore of Denver, Craig Moore of Longview, Texas, and Patti Bird Moore of Vancouver, Washington.. ...

He was preceded in death by his father.

Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Patrick Tankersley officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Denver.
