DEXTER -- Donald L. Barber, 67, of Dexter, died Monday, Feb. 12, 1996, at Dexter Memorial Hospital. He was born Feb. 12, 1929, at Dexter, son of John Lewis and Stella Nelson Barber. DEXTER -- Donald L. Barber, 67, of Dexter, died Monday, Feb. 12, 1996, at Dexter Memorial Hospital.

He was born Feb. 12, 1929, at Dexter, son of John Lewis and Stella Nelson Barber. He and Donnie Link were married March 12, 1949, in Piggott, Ark.

Barber was a sales representative in Southeast Missouri and Northeast Arkansas with Daycoa Lighting Co. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 532 AF&AM, Order of Eastern Star, and Second General Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Mike Barber of Camden, Rick Barber of San Antonio, Texas, Michael Barber of Dexter; a daughter, Pam Gaines of San Antonio; a brother, Harold Barber of Dexter; three sisters, Doris Barber and Mildred Goedert of Dexter, Ruth Williams of Overland, and six grandchildren.

Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter after 5 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Vyron Yount officiating. Burial will be in Hagy Cemetery.
