Donald Anderson

Donald L. "Pic" Anderson, 68, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2018, at Southeast Hospital.

He was born Dec. 28, 1949, in Cape Girardeau to Donald Lee and Betty Jean Snider Anderson.

He worked at Purple Crackle for several years, was a truck driver for Federated Auto Parts and worked at Frisco Railroad transporting crews.

Survivors include a son, Donald Lee (Heather) Harris of Chaffee, Missouri; a daughter, Kayla (Matthew) Furgerson of Madisonville, Kentucky; three sisters, LaDonna Jackson, Phyllis Chasteen and Vickie (Harry) Thompson, all of Jackson; and two grandchildren, Stetson Lee Harris and Sebastian Furgerson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Theresa Blanchard; and a brother, Ronald Anderson.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating. Burial will be at Fairmount Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to the family for funeral expenses.
