ADVANCE, Mo. -- Don Charles Wiseman, 86, of Arab, Missouri, passed away Dec. 12, 2021, at Advance Nursing Center in Advance. ADVANCE, Mo. -- Don Charles Wiseman, 86, of Arab, Missouri, passed away Dec. 12, 2021, at Advance Nursing Center in Advance.

He was born Feb. 2, 1935, near Arab, the son of Raymond and Jewell George Wiseman. Don and Linda Stilts were united in marriage on July 2, 1957 in Hernando, Mississippi and she survives.

Don and Linda lived and farmed in the Arab area.

Don was a member of Oak Grove General Baptist Church; where he had been a trustee for many years. He was a 50 plus year member of the Zalma Masonic Lodge and was a former Master.

In his free time, Don could be found at the local coffee shop solving the world's problems with other locals. Don liked to travel with Linda and their friends, listen to Willie's Roadhouse radio, listen to Louis L'Amour west books of DVD, playing cards, checkers and dominoes.

Don was the father of Terri (Stan) West of Cape Girardeau and Tim (Annette) Wiseman of Leopold, Missouri; grandfather of Brandon (Hillary) West of Springfield, Missouri, Bridget (Glenn) Epps of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Dustin (Whitney) Wiseman of Dexter, Missouri, Chad (Rinda) Wiseman of Advance, Lance West of Cape Girardeau, Curt (Cindy) Wiseman of McGee, Missouri, and Wade (Lora) Wiseman of Leopold; great-grandfather of Reese and Beau West, Paige, Seth and Maddox Epps, Lily, Hadley and Vera Wiseman, Chloe and Cara Wiseman, Kylie and Addie Wiseman and Emmarie, Alayna and Raylon Donald Wiseman; and brother of Jolene Carter of Wentzville, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral chapel with the Rev. Glenn Epps officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope McGee Cemetery in McGee. Grandsons will proudly serve their grandfather as pallbearers.

The family would like to acknowledge how thankful they are for the wonderful care given to Don by the Lutheran Home Skilled Nursing, Advance Nursing Center and SoutheastHEALTH Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Oak Grove General Baptist Church.
