Don Tripp

Don Wayne Tripp, 50, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2001, at Missouri Veterans Home.

He was born Dec. 1, 1951, in Poplar Bluff, Mo., son of Harry D. and Elsie Jeannette Oliver Tripp.

Tripp was a truck driver for a cement company in the St. Louis area.

He was a sergeant with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and received two Purple Hearts.

Survivors include his father of Ballwin, Mo., and a brother, David Tripp of Leland, N.C.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

Service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis. Chaplain McGee will officiate.

Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson, Mo., is in charge of arrangements.
