DON PAINTON

PAINTON -- Don Charles Painton, 64, of Painton died Thursday, May 11, 2000, at Advance Nursing Center in Advance.

He was born Dec. 31, 1935, at Painton, son of Herbert and Bess Cobb Painton. He and Shirley Murphy were married April 27, 1957, at Chaffee.

Painton was a retired farmer and was a rural mail carrier with Oran Post Office 30 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Advance and served as a deacon.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Don Painton of Painton; a daughter, JoAnna Painton of Painton; a brother, Albert Painton Sr. of Painton; three sisters, Mary Wall of St. Ann, Linda Wilkinson of El Paso, Texas, Christine Hodges of Oran; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter.

Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance from 5-8 p.m. Sunday.

Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church in Advance. The Rev. Bud Schott will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens at Morley.
