CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Don Gosche, 68, of Chaffee died Wednesday, June 9, 2010, in a farm accident. He was born Feb. 6, 1942, in Cape Girardeau, son of Raymond Alphonse and Hermina Chatman Gosche. He and Alice Horrell were married May 30, 1963. Don was a truck driver with Super Valu in Scott City, retiring in May 1999, and was an avid farmer. CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Don Gosche, 68, of Chaffee died Wednesday, June 9, 2010, in a farm accident.

He was born Feb. 6, 1942, in Cape Girardeau, son of Raymond Alphonse and Hermina Chatman Gosche. He and Alice Horrell were married May 30, 1963.

Don was a truck driver with Super Valu in Scott City, retiring in May 1999, and was an avid farmer. He was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and St. Joseph Sodality.

Survivors include his mother, Hermina Gosche of Cape Girardeau; his wife, Alice Gosche of Chaffee; a son, Dennis Gosche of Chaffee; two daughters, Diane (Brent) Ashcraft of Benton, Mo., Sherri (John) Moeser of Kelso, Mo.; five grandchildren, Ellen, Karlie and Jacob Ashcraft of Benton, Amanda Gosche of Oran, Adam Moeser of Kelso; two brothers, James "Jim" (Gail) Gosche of Jackson, Robert L. (Carol) Gosche of Benton; three sisters, Jerralee (Gene) Eftink of Chaffee, Margie (Ron) Schwent and Lillian (Rick) Haupt of Jackson.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Visitation will be after 4 p.m. today at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Parish prayers will be at 7.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Michael Casteel and the Rev. Glenn Eftink officiating. Burial will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery.

Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee is in charge of arrangements.
