Dolores "Dee" Jane Novack Smith, 83, of Cape Girardeau, passed away at 4:44 a.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at The Lutheran Home.
She was born July 14, 1934, in Springfield, Illinois, to Edward and Ramona Beilsmith Novack.
She was formerly from Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Mount Vernon, Illinois.
Dee was active in her church, the Colorado Springs Tourism Bureau, the Colorado Springs Zoo and loved to volunteer at PGA golf tournaments.
In her spare time she loved to walk, ride bikes, golf and crochet baby blankets.
She is survived by two daughters, Sue (Ed) Case of Cape Girardeau and Debi (Jack) Bowman of Atlanta; and two sons, David (Tammie) Smith of Anthem, Arizona, and Jay (Misty) Smith of Mount Vernon. She had seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and one brother, Don (Joyce) Novack of Naples, Florida.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be given to Alzheimer's Association or breast cancer research.
