Dolores Jenkins

Dolores "Dee" H. Jenkins, 87, a lifelong resident of Cape Girardeau, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2022, at Lutheran Home.

She was born April 17, 1935, in Neeley's Landing to the late Glen Henry and Clodean Louise Robison Humes. She and William "Bill" Jenkins Sr. were married July 27, 2000.

Dee worked for Lee-Rowan Co. for 23 years, retiring in 1996. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and taking care of her cats. She was a member of First General Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, William "Bill" Jenkins Sr. of Cape Girardeau; daughter, Kathy Caulfield of St. Louis; and brother, Jerry Humes of Elgin, Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Judy Ann Carter.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 7, at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel, with the Rev. Jim Rudolph officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
