Dolly Mae Robbins, 88, of Scott City died Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2011, at Monticello House in Jackson. She was born Oct. 2, 1922, in Stockton, Mo., to Earl Melvin and Jessie Izetta Wing Bishop. Dolly was raised by foster parents Hugh and Bertha Conrad in Patton, Mo. She and James Lloyd Henson were married Nov. 7, 1941. She later married James Earl Robbins on July 28, 1978. He preceded her in death in 1980...

Dolly Mae Robbins, 88, of Scott City died Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2011, at Monticello House in Jackson.

She was born Oct. 2, 1922, in Stockton, Mo., to Earl Melvin and Jessie Izetta Wing Bishop. Dolly was raised by foster parents Hugh and Bertha Conrad in Patton, Mo. She and James Lloyd Henson were married Nov. 7, 1941. She later married James Earl Robbins on July 28, 1978. He preceded her in death in 1980.

Dolly was a machine operator at Florsheim Shoe Co. She was a member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary and DAV Auxiliary in Chaffee, Mo.

Survivors include a son, Lloyd "Dennis" (Betty) Henson of Whitewater; a daughter, Betty (Maurice) Hebert of Alexandria, La.; a brother, James Bishop of Irving, Texas; two sisters, Maude Blodgett of El Dorado Springs, Mo., Myrtle Morris of Atlantic, Iowa; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 13 brothers and sisters, and a grandchild.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. today at the chapel, with the Rev. Randy Morse officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery.
