ORAN - Dimple Blocker, 86, of Oran, died Friday Dec. 11, 1992 at St. Francis Medical Center. She was born on Aug. 29, 1906 in Oran, the daughter of Alva and Louise Thomas Hayden.
On Feb. 11, 1928 she married Jerome J. Blocker and he preceded her in death on April 23, 1986.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Oran, and retired in 1973 as an elementary teacher from the Scott County R-3 School District in Oran.
Survivors include: a son, Tom Blocker of Oran; a daughter, Brenda Limbaugh of Oran; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was also preceded in death by two grandchildren, four brothers and seven sisters.
Friends may call at the Amick Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran after 4 p.m. today. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral chapel, with Rev. Jack Bishop officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Garden near Morley.
