CAIRO, Ill. -- Dicy Elizabeth Adams, 86, of Evans, Ga., died Thursday, Aug. 4, 2005, at Doctors Hospital in Augusta, Ga.

She was born Aug. 30, 1918, at Fancy Farm, Ky., daughter of John and Florence Hobbs Roberts. She married Raymond Adams, who preceded her in death.

Formerly of Cairo, she retired as a licensed practical nurse at St. Mary's Hospital. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Cairo.

Survivors include two daughters, Joyce Rolwing of Evans, June Fredlund of Chicago; a son, Charlie Adams of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Mary Marquardt of Cape Girardeau; nine grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.

The rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Monday at Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo, with visitation to follow until 10:30.

Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick's Church, with Monsignor Bill McGhee officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery at Villa Ridge, Ill.
