STILLWATER, Okla. -- Clemeth Richard "Dick" Taylor, 86, passed away Saturday, Dec. 16, 2017, in Stillwater.
Dick was born Oct. 22, 1931, in Missouri to C.E. and Mayme Taylor. He and Theodora "Teddie" Leible were married May 15, 1954, in Kelso, Missouri.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Germany.
Dick owned and operated Taylor Barber and Styling from 1956 to 1996 in Stillwater. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Stillwater since 1956, and was a charter member of the Knights of Columbus; Grand Knight, 1963; 4th Degree, 1983; and supreme navigator. He was also a member of the Elks Lodge since 1964 and served as exalted ruler from 1982 to 1983; an American Legion member since 1963; and Wagon Wheel Square Dancing since 1984.
In 1987, Dick was a part of the honorary guard for Pope John Paul II's visit in San Antonio.
Dick is survived by his wife, Teddie Taylor; sons, Richard (Holly) and Ronald (Betty) Taylor; grandchildren, Erica (Kyle) Johnson, Jake Taylor, Nicole (John) Lochmann and Drew and Kevin Taylor; brothers, Beryl and Dwight Taylor; and sister, Evelyn Matlock.
A memorial service was held at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
