SCOTT CITY, Mo. -- Dick Arnold Reid, 82, of Scott City died Thursday, Aug. 8, 2002, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born June 11, 1920, in Hastings, Fla., son of Arnold and Mina Schuman Reid. He and Ruby Smith Rogers were married June 20,1990, in Scott City.
Reid was a farmer. He was a member of Florida Auxiliary Highway Patrol 36 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Hastings, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, and Loyal Order of the Moose.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; three stepsons, John Rogers Jr., Charles and Dale Rogers, all of Scott City; a stepdaughter, Carolyn Tinsley of Scott City; a brother, Harold Reid of Jacksonville, Fla.; a sister, Evelyn Kaiser of Hastings; seven stepgrandchildren; and five great-stepgrandchildren.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday.
The funeral will be at 7 p.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. Ken Strong officiating. Burial will be Tuesday in Palatka Memorial Gardens in Palatka, Fla.
