Dick Johnson

Dick R. Johnson, 69, of Jackson died Thursday, Dec. 17, 2009, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

He was born Oct. 16, 1940, at Neely's Landing, to Glen and Mabel Kassel Johnson. He and Zedith Proffer Johnson were married Dec. 20, 2006, at Jackson.

Dick served in the U.S. Army.

He worked at Ray Voges Service Station more than 27 years. He also worked for Mike Annis Construction five years.

Survivors include his wife, Zedith Johnson of Jackson; two daughters-at-heart, Christina Bischoff of Jackson and Wendy Crown of Lake of the Ozarks, Mo.; three sisters, Glennetta Houck of Cape Girardeau, Sally Lovell of McClure, Ill., Jo Ann Neameth of San Diego; and 10 grandchildren-at-heart.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park. Military honors will be provided by Missouri Honors Team.
