Dick Davis, 94, of Oran, Mo., died Saturday, Aug. 25, 2007, in Chaffee, Mo.
He was born Dec. 2, 1912, in Batesville, Miss., son of James and Lula Bankston Davis. He and Mary E. Buell were married Feb. 18, 1935. She died April 20, 2005.
Davis was a farmer.
Survivors include three sons, Leon Davis of Monroe, La., Bill Davis of Valrico, Fla. and Glen Davis of Oran; four daughters, Peggy Lape and Jane Swain, both of Chaffee, Lavern Warren of Greenwood, Mo., and Janice Trankler of Oran; one sister, Maybelle Pitcock of Pope, Miss.; 31 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Jim Davis; two daughters, Mary Penhale and Sue Hagan; three grandsons; a brother; and five sisters.
Friends may call at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran.
Service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Ed Carter officiating. Burial will be at Forest Hills Memorial Garden near Morley, Mo.
