ST. LOUIS--Diane Gregerson (Hunsaker) passed on March 25, 2006, in her home surrounded by family and friends when her battle with cancer ended. Diane will always be remembered for her spunky spirit, generous heart and love for everyone she met.
Diane grew up in Chaffee, Mo., where she was very active in her high school. After high school, Diane moved to St. Louis, where she raised her family and lived most of her life. Most recently she retired to Biloxi, Miss., where she enjoyed being near the ocean. Surviving Hurricane Katrina, she returned to St. Louis so that her daughters, family and friends could care for her. One of Diane's passions was showing horses across the U.S. and she won many national titles. She also enjoyed gardening, fishing, traveling and playing the nickel slot machines at the casino. Diane never met a stranger and never had a task she couldn't tackle.
Diane leaves behind her loving daughters, Kim Garner and Debbie Rudawsky of St. Louis; sons-in-law, Matt Garner and Basil Rudawsky; two granddaughters, Kasey and Shannyn; two grandsons, Alex and Tommy; and her ever-faithful cat, Simon.
Diane will be missed by her mother, Betty Halter; sisters, JoAnn Rister, Maxine Scott and brother David Halter, all of Chaffee; plus numerous family and friends.
She is preceded in death by brothers, Billy Hunsaker and Donald Hunsaker; father, Hurshel Hunsaker and stepfather, Boda Halter.
Diane is leaving a hole in the hearts of those who knew her.
Come join us in a celebration of her life. Visitation will be held at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel, 203 W. Yoakum, Chaffee, Mo., 63740 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday and at 10 a.m. on Wednesday.
Funeral service begins at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will be held at the Union Park in Chaffee.
Memorials are being accepted by the family so that a donation may be made in Diane's honor to the Missouri Baptist Cancer Center, who cared for her so lovingly.
