Dewey V. Shaw, 72, 2833 Hopper Road, died Thursday, Nov. 14, 1996, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis.
He was born July 14, 1924, at Quaker, son of Benjamin F. and Leona Blankenship Shaw. He and Leona E. Meyer were married Sept. 30, 1947, at Apple Creek.
Shaw was a sales representative with Glasco Electric in St. Louis 30 years, and at Cape Electric four years. He was a member of St. Vincent's Catholic Church and its Men's Sodality.
Survivors include his wife; a son, John Shaw of Cape Girardeau; three daughters, Suzanne Smith of Kelso, Janice Stratton and Mary Keller of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Louie Shaw of St. Louis, Benjamin Shaw of Springfield; three sisters, Dot Nash and Jerry McDonald of Salem, Joan Mueller of Lake Emily, Minn.; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, sister and grandchild.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-9 p.m. Sunday. Parish prayers will be at 7 and KC rosary at 7:30.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Vincent's Church, with the Rev. Milton Ryan officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery at Apple Creek.
