SIKESTON -- Graveside service for Dewey Odell Ramsey of Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau will be held at 10 a.m. today at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston. The Rev. Kendall Hicks will officiate.
Nunnelee Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Ramsey, 73, died Monday, April 17, 1995, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Sept. 14, 1921, in Jerusalem, Ark., son of V.E. and Ellen Flowers Ramsey. He and Jewell Hicks were married June 26, 1943, in Benton.
Formerly of Sikeston, Ramsey was a retired truck driver with Hart's Bakery. He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Survivors include his wife of Clinton, Ky.; four daughters, Linda Sandoval of Chula Vista, Calif., Sandra Helms and Carolyn Ramsey of Sikeston, Barbara Mullins of Clinton; a sister, Viva Hubbert of Sikeston; 12 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother and sister.
